Clinton and the Kid

Yesterday I went to a beautiful garden, Rosendals Trädgård, with some of my American friends and their kids. I forgot my camera, mostly because I was too worried I would forget something for Clinton as he made the trip with me. He did pretty terrific on all the public transportation, although you could tell it was a bit stressful for him on the way home. I lost track of time (the day was gorgeous) and we ended up on the subway smack dab in the middle of rush hour. It's difficult enough by yourself, let alone with a small dog and a back pack. Luckily I was able to get a seat within a few stops and Clinton cuddled up and snoozed the rest of the way home. Here are a couple of pics from yesterday, taken by my friend Heather.
Leo (whom I adore!!) wanted to help me walk Clinton.

He also fed him rocks!! Just kidding - although Clinton does like to eat them.

All the kids, including Adrienne who just turned one year, were pretty skeptical about him in the beginning but warmed up right away. By the end of the day, no one was screaming or crying at the sight of him. He also got a lot of swooning from all the teenage girls on the walk to the subway - you would have thought he was one of the Jonas Brothers!!!

Have a great weekend. It is going to be really warm and sunny so I promise to take more pictures of the 'kids'!!

Our New Baby Boy!!

Allow me to introduce you to Clinton, our new baby boy:

He's a handful - has a definite personality, but Reagan makes sure to keep him in check. She's been a real helper in times of need (i.e. taking the laundry to the laundry room with a small puppy attached to a dangling sock!). Kissel, well, is Kissel. He keeps thinking Clinton is going to behave like Reagan and leave him alone. Unfortunately, that's not happening any time soon so I have put Kissel in the guest bedroom for comfort and relaxation.

I also just returned from a quick, unexpected, short visit to Dallas. Naturally it was to see my adorable nephew and spend some real quality time with him. I had a blast and it was tough to leave - especially since he's learning so many new things every day. I was, however, lucky enough to be around with he first 'showed me his teeth'. I even video'd it so when my sister and BNL got home they would believe me.

Now that I am on more of a schedule with our new baby, I'll try and take more pictures. He (as well as Reagan & I) really benefits from a long walk per day. Good exercise for me and keeps him from totally redecorating the bottom half of our apartment. I will say that he has been a tremendous help in taking off the wallpaper - something I've been meaning to do since we moved in. Too bad he can't reach the top 2/3's of it!!
